What you’ll need for Big Mac Smash Tacos

You will need the following ingredients:

  • Ground Beef- You will want a lean ground beef mixture. I like to use 90/10 ground beef.
  • Oil- just a little bit of olive oil is needed in the pan, for when you’re frying the smash burgers.
  • Tortillas- flour or corn tortillas will do. I used flour tortillas.
  • Lettuce- any lettuce will do. I use shredded iceberg lettuce, as that is what the classic Big Mac burger contains.
  • Cheese– American Cheese is what is used for the Big Mac, so I used it for these smash tacos as well. Organic Valley has an American cheese that I love that is made using only 7 ingredients! I get mine from Azure Standard.
  • Pickles- I like dill pickle slices, but you can use spears or even chop up a whole pickle to create cubes! Grillo Pickles are my absolute favorite store bought pickles.
  • Mayonnaise- Mayonnaise is the base of the Big Mac Sauce. I love the Chosen brand Mayo.
  • Mustard- regular, plain yellow mustard
  • Pickle Relish- Sweet pickles relish is what you’ll need. You can also make your own if you prefer!
  • Vinegar- white vinegar
  • Sugar- I use organic cane sugar
  • Seasonings- onion powder, garlic powder, salt, paprika

You will need the following supplies:

Large Skillet– a heavy duty skillet, like cast iron, works best for smash tacos

Spatula– something that you can easily flip and press the tortillas with.

Measuring Spoons-to make sure you’re measuring accurately

Small Mixing Bowl– use a small lid with a bowl if you have one. If not, cover it with plastic wrap, foil, or a beeswax wrap!
